no perfect people

A culuture of acceptance is this weeks theme.... Seems like over the past few decades our tolerance for others has diminished. Especially in the churches....

But here is a radical concept..what if THE CHURCH would take on Jesus perspective..... GRACE... see God loved us so much he sent Jesus to pay the price for our sin...None of us are perfect , we are all just a bunch of sinners saved by Gods grace....

How good are you at recieving Gods grace?  probably really good, oh yeah we want God to forgive our every mis-step....but how are you at offering GRACE???

How good are you at Accepting the perfect stranger who walks into church, dress like a bum? smells like a bum?  do you still offer Gods grace?  or do ya stare and wish they would leave your perfect church church?

Heres the real secret, wanna know whay there are NO PERFECT CHURCHES????  cause its filled with imperfect people.....

Wanna find a great church....Look for the one where GRACE abounds...

We all are looking for 1 thing.....Acceptance....we just want someone to love and accept us. Thats why most Radical biker gangs had formed, they were some hurt people who couldnt fit in anywhere and the biker gangs say "hey come on , well accept you" ...then they form such a tight bond that they would die for each other...

Why cant the church be more like that biker gang?   why cant we accept everyone who comes in,.....Now im not saying we accept their lifestyle or condone their sin, but atleast welcome them thru the doors...

Thats what Grace is all about isnt it?    Gods grace freely given to ALL?

Today i thank God for the grace he has shown on me ...how about you

I walked into church yestarday dressed up in nice pants suitcoat etc...everyone was talking about if i had a funeral to conduct , or man you look good preach....but as the music was playing i snuck out and changed into ratty ole jeans, a sleevless biker tshirt, biker boots, a dew rag and sunglasses...yup i looked like a biker thug....

Those who knew me still accepted me cause they knew me, but   What if  that biker thug walked into our churches next sunday and didnt know him?  would you feel compelled to move your seat cause he sat to close to you?

Would you feel offeneded cause he smelled of stale beer from the previous nights drinking?

What would you honestly think and how would you react.......

Do you all remeber the story of poor old Noah?  that guy had it rough. Here is this old man by our standards today, minding his own business and God all of a sudden comes by and disrupts his whole world.

Says Noah, im gonna kill off everybody so go build this GIGANTIC  TITANIC . Take old Noah over 100 years , think about There was no lowes to go to and order a gazillion pieces of 2x4"s and plywood....

There was no Home depot to go to and get chain saws and hammers and nails....He had to make his tools and literally build this boat by hand.

As he was obediant to Gods call , ( he went all in)  i gotta believe the local people around him would laugh and mock and make fun of Noah  especially as the days turned into weeks to months and then years.... HE DIDNT Quit..the decades started roll by and HE DIDNT QUIT....When he said OK GOD   IM ALL IN

Noah meant it.....

What about you today....DID you ever go all in for GOD?

DID you stay ALL IN or have ha let the sounds of the crowd pressure you to quit?
