my rant

E-mail Print PDF

I have not  gotten on my soap box and ranted for a while but this subject is just hitting me very hard today.

I read a blog of a pastors wife and it touched me, so i investigated and found this fact.

Several companies are now selling and marketing "padded -push -up bra's"  to 7 year olds......7 yr olds

Why on earth would a 7 yr old need one?  why would a parent think of buying them one? Our young people are under the gun every day with sex.....they need to dress sexy, act sexy, etc etc and when they get pregnant at 12 we wonder what happened?

I dont know at what age if any you need a push up bra, but im sure our young teen girls do not need to further enhance the raging hormones of young boys to LOOK and lust .....

when do we parents say enough is enough?  when do we tell these companies our kids bodies are not for sale?      When do we start telling other parents to smarten up and be a parent and not a best friend.....

when do we begin to tell our young girls they are more than a sex object?

Jesus tells us we must be in the world , BUT NOT to be conformed to it....Do not love it or the things of it....I think this is definitly one area HE was thinking of.....
